Non-existant vs laughable. Your choice
*depending on tenure
If you don't have an offer, this isn't worth thinking about. It probably won't make you happier to know- so why ask?
D has a pension for everyone. I'm staring down the barrel of a whopping $206/month when I turn like 68. That's if I quit today with like 5 years at D. I've heard that it goes up exponentially though. One now MD told me his was at like $150k a year his last year as SM with 12 or so years at D. However once you make PPD there's another much more lucrative pension. Think I've heard it's like $300k+ deepening on tenure, etc.
5 years at KPMG and its 600 a month now from 60yrs. .50 matching up to 5%.
Because I'm curious!
@K1 - that's your 401k, isn't it? At D, we have a pension on top of 401k... 3% of your salary every year, managed by uncle D... it doesn't go up exponentially per se... just accrues interest and of course, the more you make, the more you have in there. New SM, been at D for 8 years and would get $600 a month right now. It's not great, but it's free money! Also, Principal's pension is a formula: .75% x years at principal x average of your best 5 years while partner. So, a superstar partner that was at that level for 20 years and averaged $1M during his best 5 would get $150k. People love to embellish $$$, what's up with that?
