mandatory retirement is at age 60 - unable to comment on maximizing the pension question

like

Those aren’t the same question. Partner retirement age and how long til one vests on the partnership are different things.

Pretty much 50 most places, though I know a guy at KPMG who did it later than that.
This question comes up a lot, always followed by “what does ‘worth it’ mean to you?”

like

BDO. Kpmg mandatory retirement age is 60. You can be asked to stay on longer but standard firmwide is 60

like

Deloitte max is 62

like

Pretty certain this is the case at PWC as well. Their retirement age is 60, though, so hard stop at 50.

like

At PwC, I believe I heard you need to stay 10 years to vest fully

like

Not sure but at Deloitte two partners I know of aged out and then went to work for RSM. Both are around 65

like

KPMG mandatory retirement age is 62. So 52 is the latest.

like

I know that the pension get better if you stay longer but you can definitely stop or leaving before 10 years of service as partner at KPMG. I know a partner who is planning to retire at 55

like

EY no longer has a partner no qualified plan. Just a different cash balance. So it really doesn’t matter.

Just been offered a manager position (people & org consulting) at a big 4 in Qatar for 24k (QAR). Based on previous threads this seems low for the region. Especially as 9k goes towards accommodation (max unfurnished 1br) ....Have I been low balled? Or is this normal?

I've heard from multiple people about how inflated the assets are and high the P/E ratio is, hence not a good time to invest in the market. Long term investors, how do you deal with this argument? P.s. I understand the time in the market>time the market.

Hello all!
I'm 26, I studied economics but I don't know why I'm not much into investing/trading. Someone else like this?
I recognize this is not a very good approach for someone with money "knowledge" and I would like to change this mindset. My main weakness is that I easily get bored of following the market and that I do not see big opportunities. Any advice?
Where to start learning, general advice for LT and ST investments, things you learnt, books that changed your pov on the topic etc.

Thx!

Hello, I am a junior business administrator working in advisory operations. I have been with the company for 6 months, and was employed along with 2 other colleagues. So I've been at my job for 5+ years as a data analyst/back office support team. I made my way up into making a little over $40k. I've been WFH the past 2 yrs and overtime more than half my team has now been pulled out to work for a diff department which resulted in me taking 90% of our daily tasks to handle. I'm at a point where the salary I'm getting is disrespectfully low for all the work I do. Should I ask for a raise? And if so, how do I go about asking without sounding greedy.
