What city has the best/highest paying exit opportunities in industry? Maybe San Jose?

Obviously new york. No q

Really? Seems like public accounting firms are paying more in Bay Area vs NYC

I agree the Bay Area probably has the highest industry exit salaries. Seems to have the largest, most valuable companies competing for a shortage of talent.

Not many big companies headquartered in NYC, considering how large the population is. It’s mostly just banks.

Is it generally unwise to switch companies within a year? I just relocated back to hometown and started a new job 6 months ago but I want to relocate again to Atlanta when my lease is up in 6 months. I don’t have much problem with my current role except wanting more money and to relocate. Unsure if it’s worth it to move and get more money or if it’ll be a bad look on my part. Any advice welcomed.

I received a job offer for a PM position with a base of $125K and a 10% bonus, fully remote and ok benefits. The parental leave is pretty bad, just FMLA and STD/LTD so the most I’d get is 60% of my salary for 12 weeks. I’ve cancelled most of my interviews except for one where the pay is $135K, 20% bonus, hybrid schedule, good benefits and 16 weeks fully paid parental leave. I’d like to start my family in a year or two - is it better to take the remote gig or the hybrid role with full paid leave?

Got an offer to work at a boutique PE fund as an intern for the next few months. The role is however unpaid and the fund is new.

For some background, I’m going to be starting at a T-2 firm doing CDD for PE funds in January. Wondering if getting this kind of experience looks good when I apply to analyst roles 1-2 years out? Don’t want to work without getting paid unless the experience is valuable. Would love any perspective on this.
