Hi there, I have 3.5 YOE working for NHS Finance. I applied to Deloitte Risk Advisory, Public Sector (London, UK) and was successful. Waiting to hear back with package offer but it’s been over 2 weeks - was told they may offer M2 grade, any ideas what this is?
I’m also interviewing for Senior consultant role also at Deloitte. How much would this typically pay?

Wear a suit
My interview was via Zoom but I still wore a suit and tie.
They will never ding you for dressing too nice in an interview. I wore jacket and tie. However, it’s probably not needed if you don’t have. Dress to impress.
Rule of thumb is to dress up instead of dressing down when you're unsure.
I dressed up like I had a face to face interview. But just the top. I still wore my pijama pant 🤣 because no one would tell me to stand up 😂
I interviewed a person who wore a game of thrones t shirt and had visible tattoos. So you can’t go wrong with a suit

I wore a suit & tie (zoom interview). You can probably just wear a blazer/dress shirt. But can't hurt to be overdressed for an interview.
Is it in person? You can go wrong with a navy blue suit as a man.

Depends on the role you’re interviewing. I’ve done interviews for entry and experience candidates that were not in full suits, and I didn’t care. I work in jeans and a sweatshirt most days, maybe a quarter zip or polo for client meetings depending on the client and level.
Yes, suit & tie is still the standard. Full stop.
You will see many threads on these bowls where people will say it’s too stuffy, casual is fine, “just be yourself!”, etc. 🤮
Indeed, trends are changing, but at the end of the day, if it comes down to this:
Suppose you and another perfectly qualified candidate answer all the right questions, impress everyone, and are essentially tied. However, you are impeccably dressed, and the other guy is wearing a flannel shirt. It will likely put you over the top.
