What do you do when you need to take a sabbatical/short-term leave? Are you able to obtain disability? If so, how? And if not, do you just not get paid? Genuinely have no idea how this works and looking for guidance/insight.

If you have STD insurance you will need to get a doctor/therapist to approve your short term disability leave. While on STD you will get paid the percentage indicated in your insurance as a percentage of your income up to a certain maximum per month.

I just got a really great offer, only downside is the eligibility for maternity leave is after 12 months of employment. We got a faint positive today but have had so many chemical pregnancies over the past year that I am not confident it will stick this time BUT I am on aspirin and progesterone for this try … so it could.. I want to see if I could negotiate being eligible earlier but I also don’t want them to think I’m pregnant when I’m not actually… How would you approach the conversation?

I am working from EU since last year (internal transfer from India), also doing freelancing for an another startup since last 2 years and the payment is going to Indian account.
My employer assigned a tax consulting company in India to support me in filing tax, somehow the tax consulting firm found that bank account via AIS document (not sure how they get it in that doc), as they found some interest credited for that saving account. Will I be in trouble? will I have to pay penalty :(?
