What does everyone think about the whole Mark Cuban cost-plus drugs situation? Is this the way to devalue the monopoly of healthcare insurance companies and PBMs? I personally love the cost transparency, and I can see why patients would too.

I am a big fan of Mark Cuban. What he is doing is brilliant; medicine should not cost you that much after a certain number of years.

I think it’s great , bringing down the cost of healthcare is fundamental

I totally agree with it, I think it's time for this industry to be shaken up. It's crazy how far behind we are compared to other parts of the world!

I love it! I hate how Big Pharma companies take advantage of their monopoly and mark up prices on medicines people's LIVES depend on.

Someone explained to me that he’s doing the same thing as Walmart does for their $4 drug list and his site won’t get any specialty or expensive meds so essentially he just found a new way to find a way to monetize his business

Sensitive question, but when does a mental health challenge become a performance issue?

I’ve suffered from anxiety and depression so I’m not unsympathetic and recently restarted therapy for myself and have a colleague with anxiety issues who’s become difficult to work with. People have raised the issue but they refuse to get treatment and there’s been no consistent improvement after more than a year. It’s becoming a real issue with multiple people.

Curious if others have any ideas here.

I’m sending resumes out far and wide, ideally I’d be in a new role ASAP. I’m already starting to get requests for phone screenings so formal interviews will probably be on the way. The kicker is that my wife is 6 months pregnant and our first child is due next February, which is busy season the public accounting jobs I am applying to. I feel like requesting paternity leave or letting them know a baby is coming will make hiring me more difficult. How do I approach this, and when do I do it?

Received a job offer. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on a concern I had about it. It's an entry level position, and I don't have much experience. The billables are 2040 a year. For billable hours in civil litigation and insurance defense, is 2040 hours for a 1st year associate on the high end in this field for a small or midsize firm? It seems like most attorneys I know have minimum requirements of around 1800. The compensation is around 80k a year.

What type of Pharmacy job do you think is a safe choice now, as you look toward the next 10 to 20 years. In other words, which job should we look into now that will still be in-demand in the future (for example: inpatient pharmacy didn’t need a residency, but now many employers are asking for one. But those who are already experienced in the field can get a job easily)
