What happened today at Accenture? I mean I got layed off but was totally expecting it. I was going to quit this coming Monday anyways. Leaving for 45% pay increase and two jumps in title so don’t worry about but this place was so unbelievably mismanaged it’s a joke. I feel bad for folks getting surprised today. I’m CFO&EV in west.

I joined Tiger Analytics with CTC of 9lpa. When I check in greythr IT statement, it shows 7.14lpa.
In the CTC payslip, it shows 75k per month as my salary. But this month I got 61k.
I understand they deduct tax, but I feel it is too much. IDK where I'm losing the money. Can someone tell if this is normal. I'm a fresher so, IDK much about it.
Also, what can I do to pay less taxes? Any help on that?

Accenture posters really coming out of the woodworks to tell me everything’s A - Ok
If someone is a poor performer let them go real time. I don’t get this 5% or 10% rationale of putting people in bottom and it sucks!
My reasons are very simple, for people with experience of > 1 year. How did they become bad this year when they were good the last year? For people hired this year being let go, who hired them and are you letting them go as well? Apparently they did not do their jobs… and lastly does your training, mentoring, coaching, leadership abilities suck so much that you expect almost 70000 people to not keep up with their job so are you overhauling these systems for next year?
Something does not add up! Instead of letting go, did you consider offering a job with May be a different group at a different career level and pay structure am sure our people that were with us even for just few months are more valuable then people you will hire from outside should market/ demand pick up!
Also, for someone who supposedly got a job as a CFO / EV, it's spelled "laid" off, not "layed" off.
BCG- you are right to have your thoughts and evaluate by that. I just don’t think competency of a person can be evaluated by their language proficiency alone is all! Also to me, even if you couldn’t speak well but were a great strategist or programmer that would be enough.

For someone that knew they were underperforming + had another job lined up, you sure sound pissed. All the luck in the world with your new career.
Sounds like knee jerk management policies. At the end of the day they care about the bottom line.
the higher ups goof up by over hiring and firing people if it doesn’t work. No one’s there to call that out.
Used to be a great organization but now it’s just full of politics..
Dude.. ur just sour… this post could have been posted so many different ways. I know you are leaving but doesn’t hurt to show little professional. It’s a small world my friend!
I lol every time we go through this. We cut 5%. In almost all cases, those were people who weren’t keeping up. In some unfortunate edge cases, practices had no low performers and still had to pick a bottom 5%. That’s the nature of the machine.
When the talk track is “they said it was performance but that’s BS, I was amazing” - chances are that person did, in fact suck, and that a feature (not a bug) of their sucking is that they can’t see their own flaws. All good, we see them for you and show you the door.
Cutting 5% coattail riders from acquisitions who should have been cut before the acquisition was even inked.
This is the perfect scenario, is it not? I am sure they offered you a severance. So you get the severance and potentially a joining bonus at your new employer
Can I be you?

A14, Accenture needs more people like you.
Congrats! CFO EV sucks. Where you off to?
Appreciate it!!! It’s a medium size firm that specializes in what I’m doing so it feels right
Another round of lay off at Accenture ?

The bottom 5-10% are getting cut as they do every year.
Thank you C2!
