Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.
AMA.
Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

You’ll here mostly snark here on FB. In truth, it hasn’t been in play long enough to make an impact. Example: no staffing distinctions that I can discern yet. I’m still being put into play for the same stuff, no growth is evident.
For me, I’m pumped about my milestone sabbatical and I’m enjoying my pay raise.
In my practice it has felt that the SMs have been given more operational responsibility (i.e., the delivery part of the Director-role) and more responsibilities have been put on the Director-role; even more pressure from a business development perspective (with less support from Partners), while also having to own / drive the crapton of stupid internal initiatives like product development. Directors basically now have almost all the responsibilities of a Partner, but none of the benefits. I don’t know a single Director who is happy right now.
“iT woN’T iNcReaSe tIME To PaRtneR”
Time will tell, but lots of S& folks who were sold on the idea of top performers making it in 8-10 years fro UG are skeptical.
I still don’t understand that statement, because it used to be 3 years at M, 3 years at D. Now it’s 2 years at M, 2 years at SM and then 3 years at D, unless you can skip SM2 or D1?
