You'll be fine with anything 65 and up. The snobs on FB may tell you otherwise but it's totally doable and you'll have a great time
EY says 70-75 for new hires. If you have a student loan payment though, that could be tricky with Manhattan rent.
Make the move. DC gets old after a few years.
If you do your digging on finding a place and you don't mind having a roommate or 2, your standard of living really shouldn't change much. Drinking might be a little more expensive, however.
DC is getting really close to NYC in terms of cost of living and expense wise
Whatever salary u need to comfortably pay 1500 of ur half of the rent. Or less if u wanna live in a shithole. Btw, this applies to Manhattan and some parts of Brooklyn.
Where in DC are you living now? New building in a popular neighborhood?
Agree with P1- $65-$70k should be good to start if you don't hav student loans and are ok with roommate.
My opinion, no student loans, 90k. If u wanna enjoy yourself without pinching pennies, 115k
No student loan. And going into industry
110
I would be living with my girlfriend and not sure exactly where I want to live. Know few people who lives in queens, but wouldn't want to live there. I just wanted to see if I do end up moving there I'll have enough monthly income to live modestly
@accenture 2 thanks! Hopefully I'll make around that level.
At 72k and 1400 rent, I was able to eat out and drink as much as I wanted and buy the things i wanted. Also saved 30k in the first two years. No loans though. Definitely doable.
^how??? I have loans but damn seems tough
I mean I don't pay for food during the week. Monthly credit card bill around $1200-1300
