Depends where you are, age of child, what experience you want them to have, etc. Generally speaking, it has felt like we are price takers - if a good nanny costs $25/hr, that’s what you pay.
We’ve seen anywhere from $17-$30/hr.
Child is a new born was trying to keep it around 18 / hour
That's definitely a reasonable rate for one child and full time. My wife used to be a full time nanny for two children and started at 18 an hour and got like a dollar or two increase each year. But that was in the DC area.
You want an experienced nanny especially for a newborn. At least $20/hr.
