Will there be a salary bubble like the housing bubble? Hearing how much people with 2-7 yrs experience are getting offered to move companies is blowing my mind. At some point this is not going to be sustainable and salaries will drop back down to reality. However, I am concerned that all of those folks with inflated salaries will get in situations they can’t support after the correction. Then what happens?
Can you give notice on the same day you received the retention bonus and keep the bonus?
Hi 🐟🐟🐟🐟, What is the role and responsibilities of Associate 2 Designation in PWC SDC, What ia the YOE normally for this role and salary range ? PI provide your inputs 😊
ACN fishes. Salary check for Manager in S&C, London office? Got an offer for £79k base. Should I ask more? Feels like lowballed.
Just wanted to S/O to Accenture Strategy for raising base comp. Forcing our leadership to say “if ACN is doing it, we gotta do something!” You are the real MVP!
Are paid interview prep bootcamps worth it? I see programs that charge hefty sums like 5% of your new salary, but only if you land the job you want. They aren't worth it for lateral moves but could they help me exit consulting to an amazing tech product role?
I may be receiving an offer from Deloitte for a Senior Technology Strategist Consultant role (in Northern VA). Recruiter is aiming for $120k. I have 7+ yoe, TS/SCI with a CI poly. Is $120k low/high? Would I have any room for negotiating (if not for an increased salary, then a greater signing bonus ($10k+))?
Exploring a strategy / ops opportunity in Dublin at a tech co. Cost of living seems pretty high. 4 YOE in management consulting. Could anyone share any benchmarks on - a) monthly in-hand salary, b) rent for 1 BHK, c) savings as a % of monthly income?
What sorts of questions should I be asking myself/HR employees before accepting an offer at a Serie E startup that includes equity compensation?
Looking at just the comp / growth / exit perspective, would you be better off going for a UMM operating role or LMM investment role (interests lie w deal team but experience screams operator)? Offer from operations comes in high - MBB/Harvard alum on Op team. LMM Associate offer lower all-in than 3YOE consultant base comp at T2, but is with deal team. Any advice is much appreciated!
Quick scenario: If I have a consulting offer from a different Big 4 that has a start date post-10/15, so that in theory I would not have to submit a 2 weeks notice until post-10/1 (bonus payout date) but I sign the offer pre-9/30, am I obligated (looking for both legal & professional standpoint) to tell PwC because it is with a competitor? This is essentially the exact same group at the other big 4
7th year. So burned out I sit and stare all day. Fat bonus on the horizon. Barely worth it. Zero exit strategy. Thinking about going to bartending school and opening a bar.
I've been out of accounting for about 2 years because I decided to move to another country for life experiences. I will be moving back mid 2022 with my fiance and will go back to Audit most likely. My firm said they would gladly take me back when I left. If i was making 65k as a senior 2 years ago is it reasonable to ask for 72k and a 10k signing bonus even with a 2 year break? Would it be more reasonable if I went to a different firm instead? How much do you think is reasonable?
Can anyone here provide insights on PWC P&O projects / work and comp for an experienced associate?
I’ve been dealing with a lot in a few aspects of life - family, breakup, and work pushing me into an undesirable role…it has started to exhibit in physical symptoms like depression, insomnia, and fainting spells. I would like to take a short-term disability leave, but am afraid of the consequences and the fact it only pays 2/3rds of my salary. Any advice?

What is going on with the cops directing traffic? I biked down grand from the lake path today and cops weren’t letting people down grand - directed them on LSD. I took grand all the way down in the bike lane and nothing was happening
Reposting - Deloitte 🐠 Is the 2 year sign-on bonus clause standard (need to pay back 100% if you leave before 1 year, 50% if you leave before 2 years)? Anyone successfully remove this or reduce to 1 year?
Hello, Please advise. I have 2 offers as below 1. Analytics consultant - Quantzig analtics company bangalore 13 lpa fixed no variable 2. Business analyst - marsh and mclennon 11.5 fixed + variable Which should i go for.
I’ve been calm thru this process til now. First IVF cycle, 16 eggs retrieved, 10 were mature, 9 fertilized, 3 reached day 5 blastocyst. Going on day 6 and the other 6 are still growing but the likelihood they are normal is shrinking. I’m 41 so we’re doing genetic testing but I’m starting to read that it’s possible that results could indicate abnormalities more often than is actually the case. So what if all 3 show abnormalities? Trying to take this one step at a time but I want to be prepared.
I might be asking a lot, but does anyone have experience transitioning to permanent remote positions in analytics or data science at 40 hrs/week hard stop? Looking for suggestions on how to do it/good companies. I’m ready to get out of the city and start a little farm business on the side.
If you have a good relationship with your RL, would you tell them you were fed up and looking for new jobs but don’t have anything lined up at the moment ( a few offers I’ve turned down but nothing I’m actively considering). For context he’s told me in the past that he would be pissed if I quit without giving him a heads up for him to try to fix it. But at this point I think it’s beyond repair and I want out., nothing can fix it. SA, just starting my 5th year now for context

Executive MBA at Columbia while working and paying full tuition for 2 years (appx 250k)? Or Full-time MBA while out of work to study and pay half the tuition (100k+living expense)?
I've received an interview for a position that seems interesting, but is in Singapore. How hard is it to navigate the visa situation there?
Hey! I've always wanted to get into IB (prestige, money, you name it), however now that I'm in a more laid back environment (better WLB, "easier work") it doesn't seem as attractive as before and the pay is quite good for an analyst level (I think the pay is competitive even comparing with IB's pay in my country) . I wanted to know if anyone had the same experience and what were your thoughts (pursue an MBA and leave your comfort zone and "good pay" or just stick with it). TIA!
