I am an experienced hire. My case might just take you by surprise. I joined EY GDS 10 months back at 40% hike (leaving PwC) and now Deloitte (DIJV) is offering me 2 level up designation at Manager level with another 40% hike. This has effectively doubled my salary in the last one year bt still I am confused to switch or not considering the amazing bonuses GDS payed off today. Please suggest.

Didn't have top grades, wasn't on law review. Worked at a midsize firm and was laid off in march-- have about 3 years experience in a hot practice area. Have been applying and had some interviews at larger shops but nothing has come of it. I'm still applying to roles (not many out there) in my area but coming to the realization based on number of larger firm rejection letter that I may not find a role. Where would you go from here if you were me? Was making good money at the midsize...

For the people who earned the SHRM-CP, did you feel it was worth it? I have an indirect HR position, been applying for more HR focused positions and wondering if this would help. I got the CAPM (certified associate of project management) in December, but that hasn’t really changed things. Would love some opinions before working on another certification!

I’m new to tax law and I’m worried that I’m going to respond to/answer a scam and give away client info (or my own tax preparer info). Recently got the opportunity to "grow our ESG/CSR" practice at a small regional consulting firm, due to my recent grad certification in sustainable strategy. Wondering where I should focus us as a services industry for big impact - we have a large product innovation, engineering area, and know in the past we've had a lot of lip service to clients and only recorded ESG for their compliance.

Hi! I’ve been in the ESG space for nearly 7 years and submitted an app for an ESG Consulting role at PwC. My app was unfortunately rejected. Now, my app is ‘under review’ in the system. Between the time of the rejection and reversal, I’ve made connections with people in the department and the role has been reopened/reposted. Should I reapply using a referral and revamped resume or just try my luck with the application that’s now ‘under review?’ I want to be sure my chances are better this time.

I never do this but I need some objective advice. My wife is 5mo pregnant and my sister is getting married. Wedding was adjusted because of COVID but she set the date knowing I might not be able to attend as I’d have to fly there. Now I’m conflicted because if I attend, I’d have to quarantine for 2 weeks away from my wife and miss a couple DR appts. I’m her only support where we live. Would be stressful for her but I’m getting immense pressure from my parents to attend the wedding. Advice?

If things were normal and I was traveling / spending as usual, getting the CSR or AMEX platinum would make sense. But with things the way they are, what should I do? The pandemic took all the upside of an IB analyst life (client meetings in person, fancy trips, suit up, worshiped at networking events) and left all the juniors with the downside (long hours, monkey-like type of job, aggressive work environment).

Not that the complaints are not sort of legitimate but you may need to revise the decision-making process that led you to accept a return offer. Specially if you were looking for less hours.

Help - how do I fight claims by scammer healthcare providers?

I recently went to 2 different providers.

Dentist, made appt via Zocdoc to see a dentist that was in network. Another dentist at the location saw me instead who was out of network. I have text evidence they said it would be covered before visit. Claim was denied - asking for ~500 dollars.

Saw a specialist who’s office staff verified my insurance would fully cover the claim. Get the claim, says they are out of network. Owe 600.
