31 pro days including sick days with extra days designated for professional development, jury duty etc
For me it’s 17 days a year plus 2 days for every year worked. however that includes sick time
I work for myself, so I can take time off whenever I need to. Prior to starting my own practice, my last employer was pretty flexible with time off. I guess you could say it was technically "unlimited" because there was no set amount. As long as your patients were cared for, you could pretty much come and go as you pleased.
I started with just two weeks each year, plus sick time. The vacation increases after a certain amount of years, but it seems to take FOREVER to get more. I wish everyone would consider unlimited.
Where I have worked PTO accumulated by how many hours worked
31 days of PTO including sick days.
One week the first year, two weeks the second year, three weeks the third year, then it slows down for several years.
4 weeks year 1-3
And then about 5 weeks for the next 3
