I’m not sure how this will impact this bowl, but it is worth pointing out the need to assess whether there should be concern for those in this bowl. While we all understand ADHD is something attorneys are completely capable of managing with legal positions, not everyone in the field agrees with that. https://joinfishbowl.com/post_va66ztgmkw

Keto. Absolutely horrible. I was constantly frustrated because I was only eating greens and meat. Lost 20 pounds and gained back 30.
Also became lactose intolerant. Won’t every recommend.
Now I’m struggling to lose the 30 pounds.
Same I gained it all back with keto
Gym and macro counting. If you’re gyming then stop but still consume the same. You gain back twice as much and twice as hard to shift.
Learning what weight maintenance is key and something completely missed in diet culture
Interesting, first time I hear this. I think macro counting is very healthy, especially to understand the foods and nutrients your body needs and to learn how to maintain a healthy diet. You should also spicy it up with some cheat meals or cheat days. I think it depends on how you were following the “macro” diet. Were you eating enough?
In my experience, ALL of them. I know sounds crazy, but I’ve tried them all (been dieting since I was 9 yo) so I’ve done my fair share. Did IF for 2 years. As a person recovering from an eating disorder the best way to look at my health (which includes mental) was learning to develop a healthy relationship with food. The first books I read on this topic are called Body Respect & Ant-diet. I personally think I’m in a better relationship with myself and body than I’ve ever been.
Sending you light & peace as you follow your health journey!!
How did intermittent fasting work for you? Or didn’t? Thanks
I did the Master Cleanse in law school. It's ridiculous, Google it. Worst thing is I was like a size 6 wanting to drop a size, lol. If only I'd known how plump this career would make me.
The best and worst for me was whole30. Best because I found new foods I still swap for now (kombucha in wine glass, vegan pesto, healthy snacks) worst cause I was always STARVING and then gained all the weight back once I swapped back in normal foods
I was downing some diet pills. I got slim but I also paired it with exercise. I stopped the diet pills but now I have good, healthy habits. I am loving my body currently!
What diet pills did you take?
Honestly same - no diet has ever been 'the one' - the biggest thing for me has been portion control I guess. I also eat dinner around 5-6 pm and then eat breakfast around 9 am so I guess I'm intermittent fasting? I do find that if I go off that cycle, I get crazy bloating and stomach start pooching out...as soon as I go back to the cycle, it's fine
Keto messed up my hormones. You gotta be careful if you have thyroid issues.
Low fat. Yes, I gained it back. And I suffered a lot when losing it.
Lol I did keto for 2 months, now my son is a year old 😒 and I gained 10 on top of trying to lose 20 😭
Keto is not sustainable! People can fight me over this opinion.I don't care!
Drinking all that apple cider had me in stitches. My appetite lessened but I was frequently having acid attacks. Never again
I was constantly exercising for about 3 months during the pandemic. I got bigger after that because I stopped the weight training at home. I got bigger but I looked better aesthetically, now it's getting out of hand. I should get back to exercising
I tried keto for about 3-4 weeks and by the third week I felt so sick. Tired, sluggish, in a fog, would get head rushes when I stood up. That's when I learned that when doing keto you need to take electrolyte supplements like "keto aid" or Morton's lite salt otherwise you'll start feeling sick like I was.
I don't know how anyone can think a diet that requires you to take supplements is balanced, healthy or sustainable.

I was vegan for 7 years but I actually don’t regret it at all. It taught me a lot of healthy eating habits and made me explore vegetables more. I had the opposite problem that people have which is being vegan made me loose too much weight. When I decided to slowly start eating animal products again, I gained back some of that weight, and now I’m at my ideal weight. However I still eat meat and dairy in moderation. I don’t eat red meat at all (never liked it).
All the diets I’ve tried suck and don’t work long term.
All kinds of diets I've tried never worked on me. I easily gain weight. But loosing some weight is such a struggle.
Btw folks I’m doing the 12-3-30 I saw on TikTok. Treadmill at 12 incline, 3 miles per hour for 30 minutes and it’s been working well for me. I’ve noticed positive changes in my body after 2 weeks. Little change in diet meaning I try to make high protein choices in food but not always.
