What is up with the culture at Deloitte vs other firms. Last night I posted that I’ve noticed almost all partners and senior managers I’ve met are arrogant and pushy. Lots of people commented “that’s just a Deloitte thing.” Is that really true? If so what is going on at Deloitte that isn’t happening at other firms that breeds such cocky and pushy leaders?

Utilization may be my least favorite thing about Deloitte. It makes life challenging if you're stringing together a bunch of short-term, yet interesting, projects.

How does your firm measure utilization? I work for a small boutique that defines it as utilization = number of billable hours/2,080 and full bonus payout occurs at 80% plus.

Working in disputes and valuation role but want to go into management consulting next year (post MBA role). I feel like my job isn’t enough because skills aren’t considered as transferable outside this field.

When they say utilization doesn't count for the month of May/June what exactly does that entail? I'm assuming being on the bench for those months will still show on personal utilization reports...
