What kind of consulting pays the most? And how did you pivot into it if you belong to that kind of consulting?

What are some good tech companies that aren’t the typical ones you think of (FAANG). I have been doing tech consulting (actually deving, full stack), but want to get into something more technical, and have my trajectory be product owner or architect vs business manager. Not sure I’d be able to swing a FAANG

I interviewed for KPMG on 11/15 for a Senior role and the HR emailed me on 11/16 that everyone liked me but they think I should be hired as an Experienced Associate. It’s been more than 10 days and multiple follow ups but still no response. I don’t think I was rude while talking to the HR, I just told my current salary and asked for min. that no. Had a first 30-minute interview with an HR professional at Bain. It seemed to go pretty good and it seemed like they wanted to put me in front of the manager for the second round (their words, not mine).
