Fishes, OK so this is true. Wipro is delaying the joining by half a month due to some restrictions or organisational changes & not ready to compensate for that half a month loss of salary. Very rude & absurd behaviour from them. Hence rejecting the offer as such company if u aren't sure when to ask for joining u may revoke the offer letter later on. Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

I was around 50 to 60 percent. Lease just ended. Feels good to have money again. Paying the card off and buying a tiny house.
First whole paycheck of every month, basically. But I'm an analyst and living in downtown Seattle, so I was quite aware of how expensive it would be.. Worth it for a couple years while you're young and single. (But then it's off to the burbs!)

16% for gross. Closer to 22% if net. This includes utilities and stuff as well.

About 30% in SF (actually in the city). When I was in NYC last year it was about 34% (midtown west). That's all net.
