How much hike i can expect .
I got a call from a recruiter and I said my expected CTC is 14 lpa, she said according to the current market, they can provide max 30-40% hike
How much I can expect according to the current trend .

When law firms lay you off, do they always give the standard 3 months salary and 3 months on the website? I’m looking at very likely being let go I think and I’m trying to plan ahead.

Hey habibis expats! The market in Dubai is obscure when it comes to compensation and benefits. I suggest we add clarity by posting salaries, role/position and years of experience here and anything else you want to add such as benefits. I’ll start:

- Industry: tech
- Role: finance manager
- YOE: 5 years
- Comp: 270k aed/year + 5% bonus
- Other benefits: work from Europe/US 1 month/year, 30 vacation days

2nd year. What’s the typical bonus schedule?

For Dubai is 17K AED per month salary enough for a family of 3(1.5 yrs kid)

I’m currently in the process of being converted from contractor to permanent. In my initial conversations I was under the impression that I was in a different pay grade and asked for a salary 25k higher than the max allotted for my position. Hello, hoping for some input on how to time a job change. At a startup - we are doing well now but unless we have complete turnover in management I don’t think we have a bright future post-COVID. I could coast here 1-2 years before having to look. I’ve been here for a little under a year. This is my second in house job after 10 years at the same firm. The market is hot now, probably won’t be in 1-2 years and I am getting interest for good roles. OTOH I don’t want to look like a job hopper.

Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I asked ppl at my agency but haven’t gotten a proper explanation. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .
