I think those are appropriate to ask right away. You don’t want to waste their time (or vice versa) if the pay is way lower than you’d accept or it’s not partner track and you only would accept partner track. Might be something you can ask their internal recruiter rather than the partners you’re interviewing with. Just don’t start negotiating on those items until you have an offer in hand.
I advise to avoid comp, vacation and bonus in the first interview. If you really need to know, talk to the recruiting manager at the firm. I feel these are issues that should come later in the process. With the exception of staff vs. pship track - you should be able to find that out from HR or the internal recruiting person.
