An executive of a major Telecom company approached me with an exciting opportunity. All details have been finalized for them to provide me an official offer other than the final compensation. I recently found out that I started at 75% of his salary despite having the same experience in jobs and years. He’s been there 2 years more. During my annual review I was told I was doing an excellent job, but our boss said despite the Director’s performance, our salary differences come down to our titles and what can be paid according to title, not workload.
