Rising Star
I prefer my own office with sofa, private bathroom and my own fridge, water dispenser, and coffee machine.
Wouldn't we all prefer that?
Rising Star
Open office with no walls will make me quit a job on day 1
The only people that like open office plans are the ones that pay for them while sitting in their private offices and don’t have to work in them.
Anything but open office
I’m a home office layout kind of person
Mood.
Honestly, same. Who wouldn't (maybe the boomers and very social people?)
Even being a somewhat social person though, cubs (or remote) still benefit me. I'm easily distracted and if you chat with me, neither of us are gonna get work done. Soooo it's beneficial for us to wfh 😉
I don't like open plans.
I agree with both of you. I had open plan before wfh and the guy next to me would put on his headphones and eat stuff like Cheetos or chips throughout the day, also snore and cut his nails. This was a young guy, maybe 26. I couldn't believe all the sounds he was making while sitting in front of me. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Separate spaces for individuals that they can focus. These would be plentiful and open more to just partners and higher-ranking individuals. Then there would be various conference rooms with monitors that teams can work in together and collaborate. Best of both worlds.
I don’t like open plan! I’m neurodivergent and I am easily distracted. I also fidget and usually need to regulate in peace when I’m irritated by a loud sound or when the lights start to bother me 🙄
Exactly, Inattentive ADD/HSP here. Great to here about neurodivergence in Accounting!
We are a small office. For those that don’t have an individual office it is set up in a square where each person faces a corner with an open area to our backs. I like that setup.
I don't like my back to a room. People can sneak up on you. Also staring at a wall is depressing... I want to be able to at least SEE a window/daylight.
Prefer my home.
I liked the open office pre covid, but now anytime I go in and sit on the floor I get distracted by every little thing
Had my private office before and now this open office space grates my soul. No, I do not want coffee and if so, I'll get it. Yes, I'd like to get work done and get the hell home.
The one at home
I love cubicles. I don’t want people knowing what I’m snacking on.
Home office lol! Better for HSP ADHD types unless you need hand holding or socialize all day?
Prefer to work from home
