It would depend on several variables like industry, company, focus area, etc. Supply chain, like other roles, can be all over the spectrum as far as salaries. Just as a for instance based on my personal experience, a demand or supply planner can make $60k at one company, but $80k at another. From there, demand or supply planning managers can be low 100's to mid 100's, once again depending on the company and industry. If you concentrate on a specific area that interests you (say, planning, or transportation, etc.), then the typical career path will be similar. Additionally, I have worked in industry, but also for three different software companies that focused on SCM. An experienced supply chain professional can always go into consulting for your area of expertise. At my previous SCM software companies, we had some guys who had always been consultants, and some who came from industry (mostly as customers of the software). Depending on bonus structure (some pay utilization, some don't), you're looking at easy $150k with experience.
Once again, lots of variables to weigh in. It's a good industry, and a needed one.
I second this completely. Lot of factors to weigh in on, but there is a lot of breadth in the field.. and that's okay because then you can find what role best suits your personality or comfort zone, and zero in on that. Generally, Demand or Supply Planners are very tactical roles and don't reward accordingly. If u have a good grasp of the functional concepts of MRP and S&OP and specialize in a niche SCM tool like o9 or Anaplan, and move into consulting, a regular tech manager role will be looking at a cool 170K per yr. Heck that's probably doable even for generic SAP APO type consulting work. Senior Mgr and your looking at above 200K. If you go the way of independent consulting, well then, the sky is the limit.

I would say it really does depend on which area you are targeting. Do you use Glassdoor? That could help you. I utilize that a lot when I’m looking at jobs and salaries since they vary.
