Anyone have tactical advice/lessons learned for how to gracefully leave a role that you might want to boomerang back to in the next year or so? Currently at F500 financial services company in strategic partnerships role planning to resign after bonus to join Series C fintech in the same space. Fintech very well could fail and never IPO but I like my boss enough and want to give it a shot. Don't want to burn bridges. Current team is overcapacity and already down a person
Amazon Web Services Currently looking into a role as Senior Customer Solutions Manager with AWS. Does anyone have any information about the role? What to expect from the firm, compensation, etc.?
Came across a dated post on McKinsey Engagement Manager EM pay increases from associate. Keen on hearing from EMs working there. Is this post accurate in that if you were to accelerate within one year your pay is still basically associate level or does your pay actually change with position. Similarly how does bonus change? Even irrespective of promotions does salary materially change for say an A2 vs. A1? https://www.reddit.com/r/consulting/comments/4597qk/em_at_mckinsey_salary/
Slalom Consulting need some help. I have an upcoming meeting with the people manager for a non-tech (but niche skillset) C role next week. I have 4YOE total but no C experience. My yoe is 1.5 years. Tech stack is NodeJs, Aws, PostgreSQL. I am currently negotiating with Verizon. They are ready to offer 9.35 LPA with base salary as 8.5 LPA. Is this a good offer or should I negotiate a bit more. My current CTC is 3 LPA though. It's a bit tough negotiating with my current CTC. Any advices?? Thanks.
Hello. I work at a mid size erp/epm consulting firm and my base salary is not comparable to big4s. I currently make a TC of 105k with two years of consulting experience. I asked for a raise last month and now my TC will be pumped up to 126k at the end of year. I have been poached by many consulting firms and some are offering 135-150k TC. I have a masters degree in data science and 4 years of working experience. Does it make sense for me to look around even after I asked for a raise?
If one somehow transfers to Strat from Digital mid-year, does compensation get adjusted? Or just at year-end

I’m curious of everyone’s views on job hopping. I’m on my 3rd job and have ~3 years of sales experience. Each job change has been an increase in comp and has shown clear career progression. At this point I’m working for a well known public company in SaaS, in their SMB segment, which has been great. But I’ve been approached by a smaller startup offering to double my base salary, 2.25x my OTE, and equity for an enterprise rep position. This is very enticing, but would I look like a job hopper?
Lately I have been wondering what it would be like if I could negotiate my individual salary with the school district rather than having to rely on a 32 step salary schedule. Do you think it would motivate teachers more if they knew that their individual performance directly impacted their income?
They are also asking for 3+ years of experience with that salary. In Los Angeles. Good luck with that. Hope it’s a mistake.

Help me out, everyone seems to be having much milder symptoms with Omicron. Is the hospital capacity issue due to people panicking and going to the hospital despite having mild symptoms or because staff are out with illness? I don’t understand how the medical system is on the brink of collapse right now. Maybe I have a skewed view of Omicron based on anecdotal experience?

I am torn between moving to a product director role (unicorn fintech) vs continuing my current role (principal at a M&A strategy boutique, can make partner in 1-2 years) vs moving to corporate development roles (no offers yet). I have 16 years of experience, recent 4 yrs of which in M&A commercial due diligences. I see all three as attractive options, but is it a good pursuit to take a product director role at a recently turned fintech unicorn vs the other options?
