Any one familiar with comp for a Portfolio Associate roll at PIMCO on their mortgage backed securities team? I’m looking at an offer and want make sure I’m in line with the average comp for the company and industry. Only 4 months of experience and offer is 98k w/ 10-20% bonus plus 15k relo/ sign on. Looking at Glassdoor, bonuses seem higher than quoted by the hiring manager. (No written offer yet they say they’re still working on it)

I can only speak for Carat, but I couldn’t be happier here. Great culture, work from home once a week...some holding co pressure but all in all a great place to work.
Depends on which one. Varies greatly by Agency. Benefits are good. But holding co pressure can appear in the form of bonus reduction, presence in office, delays in reviews, etc.
Dentsu Aegis is solid and better than other holding companies: no drama, leadership and upper management are inspiring, strong company culture, nice location by Grand Central (Carat and iProspect), variety of snacks/drinks, regular puppy cuddle sessions, Fooda in the cafe, agency-wide workshops and activities, volunteer opportunities every week, work-life balance, meaning you can WFH once a week and have flexible working hours (change your normal work time by 2 hours).
Thx all. Curious FCB1 on why?
Depends what country you're in. Canadian holding co leadership seems solid, but there's a lot of pressure to win creative work. Media agencies are the most stable, where creative turns over clients and staff fairly quickly.
Depends on the agency within the network, if you’re hitting your numbers, how much you need the other network agencies to land new business, stuff like that. From what I can tell we’re not getting squeezed anywhere near as much as agencies that are part of WPP, Omnicom and the other big holding co’s. Knock on wood it stays that way.
Carat is not bad especially for people starting out. Management is pretty male and white and they keep it only for white males, very racial when it comes to leadership. They seem to force out female talent by not paying or promoting them. Very weak leadership for innovation. Most of the good people that kept Carat together left. Carat pays slightly lower than average. They will find their way again but not at the moment. Main reason they get all the new biz is because of lower prices compared to competitors
Hi UM, interested to hear your thoughts on why Carat weak in Innovation? Asking as the lead on innovation here. Also over 50% of our leadership is female. Would love to open a dialogue on what has helped you form your opinion and your experiences to write this POV
Depends on the Agency, but overall it feels pretty organic as a network.
I think Carat2 is trying really hard. Leadership and culture is definitely not all there but to each their own
Carat sucked.
Thx all
Stay far far away from 360i. It’s an infectious disease.
It's career suicide.
Just don't go to Merkle. Bad idea.
