What is going on here?

Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

If you want the cash lower your 401k % for that paycheck. Houses are investments too!

The bonus is 12k or it’s going to pull 12k to your 401k?
Bonus guess
I drop it down to 0 when I’m expecting a bonus. I need as much of that bonus as I can get
Match for one paycheck is fine. I’d rather get as much of that money right now.
I’m only contributing the minimum for the match. So I can’t really drop it down to 0 or I’ll miss the match? What am I missing here?
Again idk how it is at Accenture but for us it’s cumulative. So you can manipulate it to where for 90% of the year you contribute slightly above minimum so that you can lower to 0 when bonuses come out , but the cumulative amount that you contributed for the year hits that minimum threshold.
In other words, you don’t have to contribute a minimum % per paycheck as long as the cumulative contributions through the year equal some minimum contribution %.
Also at D, we get the match once per year in June - not sure how it is w you.
Another option is to borrow from your 401k for a down payment.
Only do this as a last resort. Don't steal from yourself.. and also don't try to time the market. This has been a terrible year overall, but October itself the market is up 14%, which is the best single month since 2000. If you take your retirement money out of the market, it could be very costly.
I just make an assumption of what bonus will be and drop my overall contribution for year accordingly (while also maximizing match). Can always overcontribute last few periods if I need to. Not sure why so many people wait to do it until bonus if they really need the money.
I always do. Though, this year I may have to adjust the percentage at bonus, as, if the market is still down in January, I will be moving my contribution way up to front load the year.

I max my 401k asap(like first 5 months)
Company has a true up match so all the bonus(60k split over 4 quarters) is mine
Damn. Is your bonus >$100K 🥲🫤🤣
I don’t get it?
