They only thing instantly approved is paying for hookers
WPP has to run everything through someone else. Especially when if you asked for more money. Anything involving money at WPP is a process (this doesn’t change once you work there btw).
A week is definitely a while. Was the counter overly ambitious ? Although WPP seems to do everything painfully slow
I would stay away from WPP... I’ve been waiting on a raise for 9 months
I got the job + the 10% 🤠
No. I asked for 10% more which is reasonable.
@CW1 Ya I get it. It’s a huge holding company and the many layers and bureaucracy that comes along with that.
Two years, since it’s WPP.
Weird... 10% isnt much and can be easily approved. Chances are they are shopping around as well.
Can you give us an update when you have one? I'm curious too... I'll at WPP too.
I countered an offer from them and it was 7% and I waited 6 weeks for approval. That said, I never got a raise or bonus while I was employed there despite taking on more responsibility and accountability for almost a year.
@svp lol... Slow your roll. Most people wait at least a year for a raise or bonus
^ story of everyone's life in WPP. I simply threw down everything and said, well - I won't do it till you stop underpaying me.
AD1, did that work? I literally had to leave to get anything I deserved. And I wasn’t being entitled, it never even occurred to me that I should be asking for anything until my CDs told me so. But they couldn’t get WPP to give them anything they wanted for me, even after several written requests. So 👋🏻👋🏻
It worked. I won't go into details, because you'll never know who is reading this and my specifics is quite unique.
In short, I demonstrated my value to the organization and they got me what I wanted in 3 weeks. It was an unusually high increment, fyi... and I won't name the % figure, I'm convinced is it high enough to be very unique.
My story is I've a skillset no one else possesses in the organization, for the price I'm offering. Also, the position they wanted me to fill has been vacant for over 6 months (they tried looking for folks at tha price point).
