Hi Fishes,
I Will be Joining PWC AC B as SA2 on Sept 2,2022. Just want to know about Appraisal cycle. Is it Mid Year or Annual appraisal process. Also, will I be eligible for next appraisal cycle ? Tried asking the same Question to HR, but didn't get a proper response. She just mentioned as per company policy.

In 2016 / 2017 i freelanced for Google for about 7/8 months. (Nyc). They made me a ‘temporary contractor’ so I was paid hourly, w2. I made $125/hour with overtime after 40 hours a week. I honestly have no clue if that was on the high or low scale, at the time my desired day rate was $1000/day and they accepted that ($125 x 8 = 1000).
Hmm it says you’re not available to chat, I think sometimes that happens on newer accounts. But to answer briefly, I just asked for that rate and they said ok. At the time my day rate was $1000 and that equaled $1000 broken up hourly. I believe I could have gotten benefits after 3 months but I didn’t pursue it because I had health insurance another way. It was also a bit unique because I didn’t realize I’d be there that long, they kept extending and extending. Oh and to add, there weren’t benefits like paid time off but the food was amazing!!
Not sure if this is helpful as it’s not tech specific but I’ve worked freelance the last 20 years in NYC (the last 2 of which I was full time until today). For both publishing and advertising or post houses my day rate was $900-1000/day (max 10hrs). My salary was $160k for full time.
How do you even get these gigs? These gigs from big tech companies are never posted.
I know someone who knows someone who gave me a name and I contacted them on LinkedIn.
