No one has an office, much less an assistant. Creative and account are different jobs with their own dress codes. But dumb, off brief ideas by white creatives do win.

Does anyone have tips regarding attending social events, such as happy hours with coworkers and express that drinking isn’t my preference?
With me being the only one on my team who doesn’t drink, it causes me to stick out, and others constantly question why I’m not drinking.
It kind of deters me from attending work events, but I know there’s a lot of benefitting in being around.

Hi 👋. I posted here a few weeks ago about being nervous conducting a PIP conversation with my team member.
I did it this week and let me just say it was the weirdest conversation ever. The guy is usually argumentative and tries to disprove every bit of feedback. But this time he just sat there and asked no questions and said nothing.
Maybe he’s looking for new jobs already - don’t mind this at all and this would be a good outcome for him overall.

Already spoke with a partner who wanted something done this morning for him to review and then we discuss again. Sent it to him about 4 hours ago. Should take him half an hour to review max. At what point can I check in with him to see when we can catch up so I’m not waiting in the office all day?

I’ve been working for a small investment firm for about a year and am having some issues with my boss. We have a weekly check-in but he’s ALWAYS 2-3 hours late, or skips the meeting altogether without warning. He also never replies to any of the emails I send. I already spoke with him about these issues, but things haven’t really changed. I really like the work I do but I’m starting to feel frustrated about the situation. Any advice? I am of counsel at a firm where I can set my own rate and keep a percentage of collections, which varies slightly depending on whether the client is one I generated or not. My friend have cleared Tata Elxsi interview 5 months back and received her offer letter. Still now she haven’t recvd a joining letter. Couple of other friends are also facing similar issue.
Does anyone have any update on this?
Tried mailing to the HR and to their help desk. No response.
Its really disappointing. Even if they are not able to onboard candidates now, the least they can do is aknowledge and respond to the queries.

I am trying to negotiate an internal base increase. Context is that I am at a FinTech following a key strategic and successful M&A in which I was the sole program manager. For reference I have 3 years of experience and have been offered a 10% base increase as a part of my promotion (current salary is 120k). I feel this is quite low given the market but would really appreciate any input

I'm a recent grad who accepted an entry-level full-time job offer with Capital One. I knew that MBB and other consulting firms rarely ever negotiate salary with new grads, so I didn't with Capital One as well. Was that a mistake? What were the likelihoods that they would have raised my salary? I had no other competing offers at the time

Since working in Wealth Management the most consistent advice I’ve received is “Don’t burn bridges” because apparently in WM people firm hop all the time, so you are likely to work with them again at some point.
