Repost : I'm highly confused between the below offers.can anyone help me out with the opinions. I am having a kid of 7 months as well and is joining back after maternity break.
1) Deloitte support services - 25LPA + 15% bonus.location is Hyderabad and manager is trying to see how much work from home he can give.
2)EY Gds - 27LPA +10% Bonus ( offer will be coming this week only.Hr confirmed the compensation over phone) Location is my home town.

Deloitte Layoff karti hai , offer release ke baad joining postpone karti hai, paycut bhi karti. Work hours total inhuman hai, this is based on various ex-deloitte feedback also in my case it was offer letter joining date postponed during covid
For one of my teammates they took till HR discussion and then the position is not required anymore😅

Big company do layoffs also but it never come disclosed on news or social platforms but if a startup layoff even 1 person also it will come on Instagram also as post 😂
Because of this people go to big4 snd MNC with thinking that “yaha layoff nahi hta”. Esa nahi h layoff hta h big MNC m bhi bt disclose nahi hta thats it.

Every company lay off few people. Quantity , reason may differ.
Companies are not your guardian angel jo lay off nahi karegi.
If there's a mass lay off then obviously company is at fault. It's like 2 bhk ghar ke liye 10 helper rakh rakhe hai.
If it is like one of two then also it can be either.
Manager don't like you or someone else is bad mouthing you in front of stakeholders.
Lastly there are chances that the candidate itself is incompetent, or his/her attitude is energy sucking.

I know he laid off 10 year ago and that's what I am saying ... This company is like this only.
I gave 6 years to Deloitte and that's what I got in return.. now i know atleast one thing... Don't love your company.. love your job only.

Lay off also required else there will be garbage. U don't know how it feels to work with incompetent people and they don't want to improve as well. In my team one fresher was delivering more than a scon. Think the quality of that scon😂😂😂😂
Bro, It's only funny when you are on the other side. If someone is not competent then we should give them enough time to improve or provide them necessary training if required. And then also if they failed then we can give them proper notice to go and find another job.
No one is perfect. There will always be someone as analyst better than someone as senior con. We all can survive this by supporting each other's only.
I still remember that day clearly It was fine one day when I went to office on April 2019, Hyderbad USI, one of the partner called me into his cabin and i thought because of some project discussion but as soon as I entered the cabin they said you are no longer required here, HR was there too. And they sent me two month base pay on my account that time only and asked me to leave my Id card and document on the table. I was in shocked and didn't knew what was happening. It took me sometime to realise that they fired me just because they have some budgeting issue. By the end of the day i came to know that they had fired 10 more people that day from my domain only (usi consulting cyber).
I was asked to not post or say this to anyone otherwise there will be repercussions on my career.
It was the horrible experience but now whenever I think of it, i thanks to God that I am not there.
When we give our energy and emotion to something in your case that company obviously a sudden firing will take out the ground beneath you.
If this really happened it must be the most horrible corporate act on your experience I guess and I wish it never happens again.
But in utter shell people sometimes forget that any company is itself not a living being. It's is just run by living beings. And those panel of management people change. So everything doesn't remains same always. Maybe a company management would be harsh to somebody but polite to other.
Moreover even if there a some policies to prevent something, it doesn't takes much time for people to mould them in their decisions favour.
Only thing for us is to focus on ourselves. In the corporate life of ours we just need to constantly upskilling and adapting. Do what is in our hands and if something doesn't works out just get the next bad thing.
I personally think we shouldn't invest emotionally more because politics is everywhere.
Be the best of what your can be Or try each day to be better.
