When do you think it’s most ideal to start applying for Salesforce admin jobs? I’ve seen relatively quite a few of job postings via LinkedIn that don’t necessarily require a Salesforce Certification right away although in the long run I do intend to have it for my own pe rsonal gain of course as well as for future jobs that do require the cert as a requirement. I must admit it’s very tempting to just flat out apply to them right now !

Transitioning from com. lit into tax controversy?

I have a tax LLM and started my career out of law school doing M&A tax at a big4. After 9 months, I got out of big4 transactional hell and into whatever litigation I could find. I now practice commercial lit but would welcome the opportunity to eventually transition into tax controversy (which I wasn’t able to do before). Does my commercial litigation “break” hurt my prospect? How long can I stay in com lit without hurting my chances even more?

Have an offer to join a fairly new family office investment team in PE buyouts but will be a fairly significant cash pay cut vs what I was making in tech corp dev. Bit of a niche topic: I’ve been in TS/SCI processing for a Science/Tech/Weapons analyst position with the CIA for 3 yrs since I finished grad school in chemistry, but CIA positions are sort of set it and forget it since they can take so long. Need some suggestions: My current company is on a layoff spree and 2 rounds are already done and I can foresee another round coming very soon.

While I am trying to switch to other companies, I’m not able to reveal the real reason from my side for the job change, as if I say, it’s because of layoff fears than it’ll reduce my negotiation power.

What other reasons can I give as I’ve just completed 9 months here and it’s too soon for any other company to take me in.
