When the job is in a big city like SF, and the company is known for an in-office workforce, how optimistic should I be about the interview? I’m not even close to the city. It’d need to be remote. HUGE company, probably look great on my resume.

Not to mention I am in no position to relocate.
Be prepared to relocate they had an article saying remote workers are usually the first to be laid off!
Still try it might be worth the relocation. It’s just that you’re going to compete with the resumes of ppl who already live in SF.
