How does one go about working with a legal recruiter? I’m connected to a few on LinkedIn but don’t want to reach out to a recruiter that my current firm has a relationship with....

Didn't have top grades, wasn't on law review. Worked at a midsize firm and was laid off in march-- have about 3 years experience in a hot practice area. Have been applying and had some interviews at larger shops but nothing has come of it. I'm still applying to roles (not many out there) in my area but coming to the realization based on number of larger firm rejection letter that I may not find a role. I have Finished Six sigma Green belt & after adding that on Resume along with 5 years of Warehouse experience, i got few interviews & was offered around 60k a year
Currently i am about to give CSCP (Certifed supply chain professional) exam.
What Base salary should i expect after getting Certified & 5 years of exp in Warehouse/operations/Management role?

Does studying for top consulting firms’ case interviews help in any way for interviews with other firms (e.g., FAANG case interviews) ?

I am still awaiting offer from Capgemini as I have cleared interviews and completed documentation there too.

So I have been made an offer by a company I like but it’s pretty similar to my current package (I also like where I am). The recruiter is pretty intense and is pitting me against another candidate but says I’m the number one choice and is asking me for a number to say yes “but not too high or the team will look at the other candidate”
I’m close to send them to get stuffed. I’m also awaiting a promo and interview feedback from Google. Any advice?

Jr. Associate at an AmLaw 100 firm in Central Florida. Good credentials; top 10% at T14, law review. Sick of private practice bc of hours and pressure. Also, not enjoying the work that Central Florida offers, but want to live here.

I want to one day have my own firm. Trying to think outside the box on how to get the experience w/o being in big law for ten years.

Thinking of applying to be an ASA and to the FL AGO. Would like trial experience or civil rights/con law work.

I attended a client interview last week and was selected for the same. Now they are asking to join within a day or two. I'm having my mom's surgery this week. How to safely refuse to join this client project for at least 10 days. I can't take leave for 10 days.

Thoughts on recording meetings. In Texas and have ADHD. I’ve been recording internal meetings for the past couple of weeks and my work product has improved exponentially. I’m able to go back and listen to the directions over again. In law school I had a note that gave me permission to do this. Is this taboo in a firm?
