Me(jr): asked to lead a call for a different deal as training. Mid-level doesn't take notes (also on call) and tells me it's the job if the junior to take notes.

How do I leave my role as someone on the talent team. I am on a small recruitment team of only a few people, who connect daily. I am also responsible for sending out updates tracking new hires and upcoming leavers (aka I would be on this list if i decide to leave). If I am looking to leave my company, considering all of these things, how do I do it in the least awkward, most professional way possible? I want to put in at least a two week notice, but will continuing my work after that be weird?

What should I reasonably expect from a junior?

I manage a junior developer that's been with the company for about 18 months. I end up providing them of TON of support. I need to give them extremely detailed instructions or they fail. For bugs, I need to point them to a specific function that's causing the bug. For new features, I'm basically writing their method signatures and defining their test cases.

I've tried asking them to do more on their own, but when I do, they fail spectacularly.

I think there should be more males caretakers in this world. Some of my clients just feel more comfortable with a guy and it's kind of sad how often they say I'm the only male they could find.

Working at a boutique transactiona firm. First year did not receive much guidance and made a few errors, one of which could have been a deal but ended up being fine but overall I worked hard, billed hours above target and showed a willingness to learn. This is twice now in back to back weeks my boss has asked me where the disconnect was in our communications because I didn’t deliver on what “was asked”, even though I know damn well what was asked and what was done were the same thing. I’m not sure if he’s changing the meaning or isn’t communicating what he’s envisioning or what but it’s embarrassing to be called out like that, and to have people think you’re the dumb 23 year old.

Any advice on how to tastefully tell your manager that you no longer want to be a charge nurse anymore? For us being in charge is having full assignment 3p-7p & being responsible for assigning pts , communicating w/ supervisor about various issues, making the assignment for next shift, and a mini report about each pt for the next charge. On the weekends, same responsibilities but 7a-7p. We don't get any additional pay for being in charge and I'm sick of the added responsibility and stress of it.

OR circulating nurse here. Will preface this by saying I have the utmost respect for CSFAs in the OR setting. However, wondering if any other OR RN’s have had issues with CSFAs feeling and acting like they are in charge of the room or attempt to carry out tasks that you as an RN are supposed to do? I do love having help, but we have one FA who hijacks my tasks and gets upset when i do not do things the way they would and attempts to instruct me on how to do my job
