Where do you keep your emergency fund? I’ve been looking at high yield savings accounts (1-1.5%) and a few other options. Given that emergency money needs to be easily accessible at all times I’m interested what’s the best return I can get with no risk and ease of access. Thank you! P.S. I’m currently using Amex savings (1.15%)

I use Marcus by Goldman Sachs. I think it’s 1.2% right now

like

Same. Tried Ally, Wealthfront and eventually went to Marcus last couple years. Haven’t changed since

It’s a little bit of a pain, but you can find pretty easy ways of making $200-300 in sign on bonuses for new checking accounts. Capital one had a deal that I signed up for that pocketed an east $250. Not the same as HYS but same idea

My fiancé and I (ages 30 and 31) are about to buy a house. We would put down 10% for a 835k purchase price. Our combined income is $265k. We both have around 7-10k left in emergency funds (each) and combined about 200k for retirement. Our mortgage is $4,500 a month and we split a car payment for $800. Is this an okay financial decision or should we have bought a cheaper house/saved more?
