Personally, I would recommend working for a real consulting firm and get recentered on what good looks like. Someone like Accenture or Slalom +not saying they do things perfect/every time, but they're a lot closer to the mark in that they have a process. Then if you want to exit consulting or go to a boutique etc you will have a much better internal compass for how to operate.

I know tons of people there. It's very location dependent and even team dependent. Chicago office in particular seems good. If anything their problem is pay.
Bit of background, Salesforce was my first job out of uni and I’ve worked there till I’m a senior consultant now.
You'll have a bit of shock at a traditional consulting firm, but spend 2 years at least there and then exit to a company you like
Any industry alignment?
I’ve done quite a fair bit on telcos and banks.
What is the underlying problem with Salesforce ProServ? Could an experienced leader from another firm come over and turn things around or are the problems too big?
I agree with TA1. In my region we had a new leader but the culture is still the same. I put this down to hiring people that have stayed for way too long and got promoted based on tenure.
