I have and it was a terrible idea for me. They did not have enough capital to keep it going and weren't paying us barely anything and kept adding on more work.
I learned more in those few years than I ever did in a corporate cubicle. I honed my skills like a ninja, built resilience like a cockroach and made lifelong friends who are ride or die startup warriors.
I have! It was a great idea, a terrible experience, and I'm glad I did it. 😄
Start-ups are great for the beginning of your career. Once you are in the thick of things, it can feel like a step backward. I feel like you can learn a lot about an industry working for a start-up because you typically make up the role.
Mixed reviews like the above. I’ve been at a few startups, none of them got off the ground but it was great learning for me
