Why do British recruiters get so much hate? I feel like some of them are actually pretty good. Does anyone here have good experiences working with them or is it all bad?

Currently an associate at a mid-sized firm with “strong potential” to make partner at the end of this year. Things have been toxic for a while, but have cratered in 2021, with few signs there will be any positive changes on the horizon. What are the pros and cons of staying to make partner before trying to go in-house? I’d assumed it would be better to job search with that title on the resume, but am rethinking my assumptions the worse things get.

general question, about how long after submitting an online application should one assume that they aren’t getting an interview?

Once I attend an interview in Infosys and got offer and rejected it ...when I can apply again? 6months or 9 months

So can I accept the offer from first company and then if second one also sends an offer then let the first company know I would like to reject? Also i am on H1B visa. Folks that have worked in Big Law in other areas of the country, what do you feel is different about being in Texas? I've been offered a role in NYC but may decline because I'm just happier here, culturally.

So the question has been asked a few times in the main Big Law bowl but keeps getting derailed into a political issue. As someone with a more conservative disposition anyway I'm interested in the day to day of life and work in Texas as opposed to NYC (or similar).

So, what are the pros and cons of living in Texas and working in Texas Biglaw?

How's inflation and cost of living in Texas this year and any predictions moving forward? With the recession looming or already here I'd like to relocate to somewhere cheaper (currently in Seattle), but only if it's going to stay that way.
