As a senior you should know your flaws and be totally cool with them.
First of all, that happened to be as well in the past and it turned out that I was thinking too much. But it also means that you most likely need to be more connected with your manager. A good relationship with the manager will provides you much more reassurance in your role- I know it’s not always easy!
Do you have 1 on 1s with your manager? I’d recommend you setting up a clear yearly/quarterly goals for your role and using 1 on 1 time to track and discuss your achievements, things you need the managers help with, and ask about constructive feedback about how you’re doing. This will allow you to 1. Show your manager your achievement (so to be recognized) and allow both of you to be on the same page of your performance based on your goal tracking 2. You get your managers support on things that you brought up to her so gives you better chances to solve challenges and achieve goals 3. proactively manage your performance with your manager and gives you a clearer understanding of how you’re doing.
Overall you’ll feel better as you have a clearer understanding of how you’re tracking towards the goals and how you’re improving on any constructive feedback.
I’d think you need bi weekly 1 on 1s at least, if not weekly.
