Anyone recently received a tax manager offer from EY ? I’m going through final interviews and want to see what your experience was like (negotiation process, initial offer higher/lower than expected?, did you give them a salary expectation range? How long did it take from final interview to offer etc) TIA!PwC EY KPMG Deloitte

Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.

If you are at MBB, odds are you don't need to be motivated by that metric. For us in the Big4, the business model, scale and overhead means that utilization is really the only metric that matters. The other metrics drive utilization but utilization = revenue.
Its the holy grail
Cause there are more important things in life than utilization
Getting paid to not work is basically my goal in life. The Charlie Weis model. So I wouldn't complain one bit if I found myself in that position at EY.
Our staffing manager is responsible for getting us on our next engagement.
My department in Accenture doesn't have this so called 'bench'. so if you're not utilized there's a full blown investigation and you need to find utilization out of your rear. very stressful.
We're not judged on utilization.
Because we're not judged on it and it's free PTO
Because they still get paid
Because they're lazy
Managing to utilization is a recipe for failure on the people front. Stupid KPI to prioritize.
Well said, D1
Utilization is not a metric anyone cares about at OW either
It's not like the leadership team doesn't look at utilization for the firm and by region / office. But at the individual level it doesn't really matter. Only the crazy outliers like 6months not staffed. Which hardly happens when the whole office is at 70+% client billed.
A1 that's going to give me nightmares
PwC 1 - when there are options, you get to choose where you want to go, but at the end of the day, it's a business and projects have to be staffed.
McK one. Wait you are not judged on utilization either? Clearly I am with the wrong firm.
Only a problem at Bain if you've been on the beach for a significant amount of time. Then clearly it's not because of the pipeline but because no one wants to work with you.
Any suggestions for recruiting into OW.
^ I think pwc1 meant a burner email address
Haha. It's not all of Accenture but definitely mine. So fear not EY1, its limited to certain departments
What department are you @acn1
