Have you been able to confirm you are indeed ovulating each month? Can still bleed monthly without ovulating.
Any complications with last pregnancy/delivery that would lead you to believe structurally you could have anything else going on?
Also how old are you? Can take 6-12 months for people with no impediments.
How long have you been trying this go? Wouldn’t hurt to see a fertility specialist if it’s been awhile as they can give you more direct answers via bloodwork and monitoring.
I would have a reproductive endocrinologist do a saline sonogram and repeat hsg. They can repeat; there are a couple of different kinds. If you need a polyp or fibroids etc removed they can even do it the same time as that surgery.
Even if you weren’t previously diagnosed with PCOS, you could still have it. You have polycystic ovaries, you said. The syndrome is a wide spectrum. You could be on the low end of the spectrum and still have issues conceiving - usually due to not ovulating, but who knows?
Worth getting work up again with an RE to see where you’re at. I have PCOS and have only gotten pregnant with IUIs, ovulation induction meds, and a trigger injection. It’s the most common cause of infertility.
How old are you?
Things change with age and it can be more difficult to get pregnant sometimes. I got pregnant on my first try (with IUI) at age 34. And at age 36+, it took me 1.5 years, 6 IUIs, and a miscarriage to have a successful pregnancy (baby born 3 days before my 39th bday). So you just never know how things will go..
Periods are also very normal and all the fertility tests from the first pregnancy show nothing wrong besides the small cysts (not officially PCOS as I have no other symptom)
Has your partner had a workup?
D1 what wild and inaccurate advice. Her partner can absolutely have had a decline in fertility since the conception of her first child.
I got SHG (saline sonogram), done which I feel definitely helped.
