Working for a Fintech company vs. working at a creative agency. Pay and title is similar with agency giving a slightly less salary but fully remote whereas the Fintech is remote for now but may be hybrid later. What would be better for my career. I am in my late 30's and I do have kids.

I'd go for Fintech every time. Better growth and career opportunities, could get stock options. Never see them in any big downturns, they just raise more money. Know several people working in ones and the hours weren't bad either (London)

It’s likely the cultures are very different. I thought going from IBM to EY was rough… can’t imagine going from creative to fintech. The latter may pay a little more but you’ll need to like the work

Looking at a complete pivot into a business analyst or even into a technical software role, but still trying to work out where to start.

Coming from an enterprise sales role and before that enterprise marketing. I've got a minor in accounting so have (very) basic formal commercial knowledge.

Would you recommend reaching out to recruiters to get an idea, completing a few online courses or building up my skillset on the side to eventually transition? I've accepted that there will be a paycut.

Has anyone here started off in recruiting and branched out to other HR functions? Do you like your new role? Do you wish you stuck with recruiting?
