Hi there. Ex Deloitte Sr Mgr here, currently in tech pre sales (SaaS / MarTech). Recently spoke to both Salesforce and Adobe recruiters for roles that I thought were lateral moves (Sr SA / Sr SC), therefore I did not proceed with the selection process. The recruiters from both companies told me they typically hire at that level, and people are considered for promotion to Principal in 1 to 2 years. I found that odd. Is that right? What’s the typical TC for SAs and SCs there? (15+ yrs exp).

Hi - I have donations given to Team Everest for Nov 2021 with receipt. But IBM AskHR says no support for donations tax exemption on Form 16. Thus, the donation isn't deducted on my Form 16. Can I now update the donation directly on E-filing.gov u/s 80G for exemption or will that cause an issue ? IBM

Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

No, that is not inappropriate at all. What is inappropriate is them not giving you a raise to begin with but adding all that extra stuff. Stand up for yourself!!!

Agree with this! Not inappropriate at all
Don't do extra work for the same pay. Stand up for yourself. With all the responsibilities you've taken on, there's little chance they want to risk losing you, regardless of the tough talk.
Diabolical for the statement to include anything about not raising questions, let alone not raising questions to management. Highly recommend you take a few mins to look at your current R&R, put together a spreadsheet to show the clear discrepancies in your role cs the new role R&Rs and look online for similar salary for the new ones to justify your concern. If they come back with a hard no then you know to look for a new job, but if you’re able to have a flexible convo then you have room for negotiation
Thank you! I appreciate the advice!
That’s appropriate and even a title change to reflect the new responsibilities
