Oh man, the shade being thrown in this tweet...

Why is this bowl so cold? 😀
Hi, I belong to the corporate bowl but I have snuck in to ask if anyone would be interested in assisting the Ukranian Crisis Legal Aid organisation that has been set up by a Hungarian law firm to pair up refugees and lawyers. The website is https://ukrainelegalaid.org and it was set up by KNP LAW Nagy Koppany Lencs & Partners (who I am not affiliated with). This is all pro bono. Feel free to PM me, especially if you are English qualified!

I would be on the next plane to Philly.
Philly is a much better city. Very underrated in my opinion.
M1 is feeling some sort of way. DC is absolutely not a shit hole. Every big city has its issues; but DC is clean and safe in the most populated areas. Philly is neither of those things
Signed,
Someone from neither place who has spent significant time in both and can be partial
Money goes further in Atlanta
Also, consider airport. I live in North Decatur and on a Monday at 630 am, takes me 25 min to get to the airport and park. Another 20-30 to walk and get to gate (Clear).
I’ll be out of consulting. These are both industry roles. No more travelling for me!
Ask ATL to match
I did. They can’t go any higher.
Go where you’d rather live. Summers are brutal in ATL and Philly winters suck. Better food and people down south...
COL difference means the money is close to a wash so don’t let that be your deciding factor.
Go where your heart is! I would guess after taxes and housing costs the CoL would be basically a wash
I love Philly, moving back there in the spring myself- but the older I get, and longer I’m on the road, the more I miss having my people when I get home (for me that’s Philly). It’s tough to build a new network when you’re on the road so often. To me home is where your people are.
I will say that having moved to the South, there’s definitely some stuff I don’t “click” with as SC6 mentioned. Culturally, it’s WAY different. You’re sort of seen as an outsider. While there are lots of folks not from Atlanta, those that are, have been here for generations, and you can tell. Tight groups, not welcoming to outsiders. Networking is REAL here. And I have new born and we’re actively looking at moving away. It’s not a place I want to raise a child. Values just don’t align. YMMV. People are all about the show down here. Keeping up with the Jones’ is a real thing here.
So it sounds like the job is in Delaware, but you would live in Philly?
There are some really great places to live in Delaware. I would recommend you look around there instead of Philly (and I say this a local Philly area resident for my entire 40years).
Atlanta! Lower cost of living makes up some of the difference, and always choose your mental health! I’m not from Atlanta, but I lived there for a bit and loved it. Not sure what sc1 is talking about on that front but probably depends on where in Atlanta. I was a yuppie, so I was midtown all the way.
Atlanta has the worst traffic. Philly is nice and affordable. My sister lives in Atlanta and the whole of Atlanta suburbs are gated communities - guess why ( crime) and it takes 2 hours to get to airport from a suburb because of traffic.
If you planning to be in philly live on the mainline. Wayne, radnor, haverford, Berwyn, paoli. There is a train to downtown ( 20 minutes) about 30 minutes from airport and you don’t have to pay Philly city tax.( 4%) plus state income tax is super low (3.75) plus it’s super cool with old money. Get ready to pay 12 bucks for a sandwich .
Delaware isn’t Philly
