Have people received inflationary raises? My dad received a letter stating that they’re giving him a 6.5% raise + a one time lump sum of $750 bc of inflation, retroactive to July 1st. He works for a university and is part of a union. So let's say spy drops another 15-20% but anyway it will come back to those levels may be in a year or so. Why everyone is so anxious about drops. Granted valuations are outrageous and unsustainable but 5 trillion free money won't go back to feds like that. Also retail participation had gone so even retail is small they will try to buy dip wherever possible. Given all this background why do anyone have to worry about drops.

I took the job because the industry I was coming from is very seasonal and hiring won't be in demand until spring next year. Later this afternoon, one of the companies I interviewed with called me back for 3rd interview. This job is riskier but 150k plus, which what I was used too. I ll probably get the job. Should i take it?

I am looking to get out of the retail automotive sales business and perhaps find something related, like automotive software suppler position. I have been a BDC Director and Manager and have 10+ years of experience training BD agents on process and software applications in the industry. I can't seem to get any traction with the vendors. Are there other industries that might want an experienced automotive sales manager/BDC manager? I am in South Florida, but I am wiling to relocate.

My company is recruiting me for a “Assistant sales manager” position. My question is what do you think I should negotiate as a base pay? Anyone currently in that position?
