You know when you you get through 9 interviews and the recruiter says “it didn’t work out but we will keep your contact info for a future role.” Has anyone ever gotten a job a year or so later from that same recruiter or agency? Or do they actually just throw your resume and interview experience in an endless void of non hires.

When messaging a recruiter on LinkedIn, is it best to send a short note about why I’m the best fit for the gig, write a mini cover letter, ask for a time to chat, or something else? Thanks in advance!

Has anyone ever asked to renegotiate their salary after starting a job? I’m 2 months into my new job and I have far more responsibilities than what I was told. Worked in various increasingly responsible roles at the same organization as a FT employee in IT for 17 years and then took a buyout and chilled doing side gigs for 18 months then came back as temporary contract staff for the last 3.8 years as Business Analyst and Technical Writer.
