Zimmerman Advertising called all the employees that are currently working from home and gave them an ultimatum, either you come back to work full time on Monday or layoffs are going to happen.

Hey, I have 4 YOE and currently a manager at PwC and have been managing teams for a little over a year now. My role mainly consists of leading teams of engineers deliver MVPs to our clients.
If I wanted to exit to Google or Facebook (Meta) what role would align for me? I was looking at engineering manager roles but unsure if that’s too senior for me.

lol add Zimmerman to “places to never work”
The only bright spot there is the people you work with that you bond with through the traumatic experience 😂
copy and paste the tip to all these forms... put some heat on the agency

Wonder if someone like John Wren called him since Wren’s face popped up on some of the articles talking about Omnicom policy.

“two unspecified account losses” don’t you guys only have like two accounts left already? Some tire company and party city
And add to my previous post that today DeSantos was caught offering pop up vaccination sites to those who aren’t eligible yet bc they live in WEALTHY neighborhoods, and he’s up for re-election in 2022. WTF? I’m sure Jordan Z got his 2 doses already.
Because Florida
Agree with Zimmerman 2. I work at a small FL agency and we are all still WFH with the option to work in office if we feel comfortable.
Zimmerman is a controlling sweatshop. The issue is they hire a lot of young graduates who will go in because they need the paycheck.
If everyone stood in unity and worked from home, I’d love to see the agency lay off everyone. They could, because in FL you can fire someone without a reason. Yet they’d get such bad press, they’d be the stain in the underwear of advertising... that is if they already weren’t.
Pro
Don’t go into work and talk to a lawyer friend.
W+K is hiring AEs too. Check the website.
Wow. Sounds like they are trying to find an excuse for layoffs so they can deflect from their own failures. Or just Neanderthal thinking. Or both. 😂
Exactly
Fun fact: Jordan Zimmerman’s first claim to fame was being the sole individual in a college student contest who coined the name for Nancy Regan’s disastrous war on drugs, “just say no”
He’s very proud of it 😂 🤡
I think it is pretty certain that drug scandal information was not on the creative brief Jordan had to work with. Think your giving Jordan way too much credit for effectiveness in advertising.

What does Alger say about that?
Always thought that place was trash so I’m honestly not surprised at all.
File an OSHA complaint
OSHA only works for proven unsafe working environments. Since FLA has revoked most safety ordinances in relation to COVID, you can’t use the public health safety standard as the main point of citation for unsafe working conditions.

To date, leadership has said absolutely nothing and most employees remain mortified. I think in a few months they’ll have a lot of vacant positions.
Hell no.
I saw the business insider article!
That’s unfortunate many agencies have seen major benefits to having a remote team. I work at Starmark in Fort Lauderdale and our company broke their lease so all employees are working remote now.

Clients no longer want to spend money on advertising regardless whether they have it or not.
How is this place supposedly worth $3 billion and the only reason I’ve ever heard of them is because the owner is an asshole and wants to force people back into the office?
Another reason for the $3 billion is because retail and DM are businesses that measure ROI. So then you have a “track record” of success to show other clients.
I’d also hazard a guess that Zimmerman deals with a lot of scared business people. Ones who worry about their jobs a lot. Then I bet Jordan comes in during the pitch process and promises them the moon. Tells them he’s gonna solve all their problems. Kinda mirrors how Trump got elected.
Anywho, I’ve seen Omnicom agencies tolerate C-level psychopaths because they were good for the business (ie they made them money). Will be interesting to see what happens with Zimmerman.
Sweat shop. I worked there for 4 years and would recommend staying away.
The only thing I’ve ever heard about Zimmerman is just about how awful it is there.
Why do they care where people work from?
There’s a difference between giving employees who WANT to return to office access to do so and making everyone return before they feel comfortable. And as someone who used to work there I’m not surprised at all 😂
Zimmerman is well known for being a people recycling center and underpaying associates.
