Has anyone used the “Make an Offer” to upgrade to business class w Lufthansa? Flying DFW > FRA and paid $700 to upgrade and curious about the “make an offer” program for the return flight. It could be ~$150 less than my initial upgrade price paid BUT I won’t know if they accept until 3 days prior to departure. Worried the seats could be gone and then I’ll be stuck in economy for 11 hrs. WWYD?

We flew back from Ireland today on Delta. Our connecting flight from JFK at 6:10 was cancelled while we were flying over the Atlantic Ocean, and we were rebooked on a 3:40 instead (2.5 hours earlier) but not notified. I received no email, text or app notification of the flight cancellation or the new flight we were placed on, so we missed it. They now cannot get us home tonight and won’t even guarantee they can get us home tomorrow, impacting my work, (cont)…

Just got back from San Francisco where I had the best Calimex and Korean Mexican ever. I especially loved "Tacorea" -- their kimchi burritos were the bomb I literally had them for 5 meals during my 5-day stay. Is there anything similar in NYC, preferably in Manhattan?

Planning a trip to either Florida or California (San Diego mainly) in a month. Main goal is beach do looking for beach resorts. Should I be avoiding Florida in August because it’s hurricane season? Any beach resorts/beachfront hotel recs would be great in either locations.

Do people recommend the AA credit card if you live in a AA hub (DFW, Charlotte, etc.)? Feel like the $99 bucks for preferred seating is worth it especially for international travel but it’s also American and don’t know if people have had bad experience with it. Solely wanting it for benefits not to use and to gain some status. Feedback appreciated!

What is the base salary for a Research Technician for someone who’s a recent graduate and have experience of 2 years in research (specifically in San Diego)
