I've got a trip coming up and the garage in my building is going down for 3 weeks for maintenance. No way I'm leaving my car street parked for 12 days lol

Hi everyone! First time using this app. I always wondered, how are other IT help desk jobs? I’ll share how mine is.
I work at an MSP (Managed Service Provider) meaning we are the IT services for many other companies. It’s busy all the time and I get to experience all different types of apps, OSes, and almost every aspect of IT in this way. I make around 50k which is alright but its hectic as there’s too many tickets and not enough personnel. I heard this is common but I’m not sure.

I’m a R&D Engineer II at BD, a large medical device company. I have 3 years experience in other industries in similar roles to my current position. I started this position about 8 months ago at 80k/yr. Since I started I’ve have two close friends with similar experience get offers in DOD and Medtech for 96 & 155k/yr. Am am I being underpaid or are their offers out of the norm? For reference I am in SLC and they are both in the greater Philly area.

Moving to San Diego from Santa Barbara. Looking to be relatively central so I can meet people, go out for drinks or other fun active activities (I'm a runner) What are your thoughts on the vibes in Banker's Hill vs. Point Loma (liberty station) vs Little Italy vs North Park? Is there somewhere else I should be considering?

I'll be going to Saudi (Jeddah) for 2 days this fall. Any pro tips on how to make the most of the time there other than just walking around the city? Thinking either historical/cultural or sea based activities.

I currently work in a mid tier asset management firm(7-10 Bn AUM) and am on path to become a assistant portfolio manager. I'm based out of Chicago but considering shifting to San Francisco for personal reasons. Are there good asset management companies in California or San Francisco? I've been looking at BAM, Millennium but there seems to be mainly engineering jobs out there. I'm also planning to do MBA and might make a move to private equity or VC later. Please advise.

Just finished successfully passed my second IAD (investment advice diploma) exam expect to have the third within 2 weeks, have three years relationship management experience at associate level and 2 at analyst level and have multiple degrees (been really fortunate) I want to head into the wealth manager position/junior banker. Can anyone advise the best way to position myself? Would prefer internally from a training point of view but open to external.

For those of you that live in cities with hot/humid weather in the summer, how do you go on walks on your lunch break? I used to live in the Midwest and would step out in my office clothes for about 30 minutes or so and come back and I'd be perfectly fine but I'm in ATL now and I feel so sticky and gross when I do that. I know I could go on a treadmill but I don't want to have to change clothes and I like being outside.

I have 3.9 years of experience in tcs. Last year i was selected in DCA exam and started receiving elevated incentives. This year i was wrongly given C band and because of that my incentives are now paused. But the thing is my compensation letter still says my ctc is 8lpa. But in my salary slips I'm not receiving according to ctc. Currently I'm serving notice period and told the other company that my ctc is 8lpa. Will there be any issue on bgv when i join next company?
