Starting at a Big 4 firm after previous firm collapsed. I have been at both firms for 1 year but got placed on a terrible project with a director. Is it bad for me to leave the firm? This Director is making my life miserable.

Do Big 4 and other PA firms offer paternity leave? My last industry job had paternity leave=maternity leave and it was a total of 12 week(3 months). If your PA firms offer paternity leave, what happens if your child is born in the middle of the busy season, will they allow you to take paternity leave then or will they tell you to wait until busy season ends. Just curious.

Has Slalom become too big? I interned there a ways back and people loved it, I loved it, seemed like a tightly knit shop with excitement of growth. Seems like now they inevitably have become too big based on some posts and feedback I receive, but still seems way better than Big 4 or most other consultancies. Interested in thoughts.

I was working for a consulting firm , like 40 days back I joined a software firm so that I can get WFH. Now I have an offer from the M&A team of one of the Big 4(with hybrid mode). Can I quit from the software firm and join the Big 4 ?

If yes how should I approach the HR here ?

Recruiting for FT 2023 start date. Interviewer at B4 (Senior Manager?) asked me why I had two internships in one summer. I said i had to leave one because the other offer i got was paying so much more. I didn’t go in to detail that I need money for college.

they respond that it doesn’t really look good to job hop. Should i approach this differently? Or is this guy the biggest boner of all time?

Bummed out that I got an interview at a big 4 through HireVue virtual interviews an i sat ther with a message “you are waiting for the interviewer” for 10 minutes then she calls me and asks if I was in the call because she was waiting for me. She seemed a little ina rush the whole call. At least I thought maybe she was busy and was late so she used it as an excuse. Need advice please!!! $105K salary for a small cpa firm (less than 10 people) vs at Big 4 at $70K with 3 YOE. MCOL. Definitely less stress in a smaller firm since no billable hours goal but most likely no career growth & less future increases. If with Big 4 I feel like it’s more beneficial long-term to put it on resume but I am leaving a lot $$$ on the table. Am I able to catch up with the salary in the next 2-3 years? Your thoughts please?

How is Corporate Development at Mondelez? In terms of culture, WLB, and TC at Senior Manager or Director level. Currently an M2 with MBA at B4

To what extent does independence rules apply? I’m currently a finance manager and applied to a M&A consulting role at a B4 and they’re the auditors of the company I work at. I’m not part of the accounting function and I do primarily OPEX reporting of one of the many orgs in AWS. I had a phone screen and they said they would get back to me about the independence rules here.

With the understanding that the difference is likely negligible/doesn’t really matter, is there any consensus on ranking of perceived quality amongst the T2s in the U.S.? Just genuinely curious what MBBers think of these firms relative to each other in the market. Particularly curious about the B4 strategy arms and how they stack up against each other, but would love to hear about all of the T2s in general.

I have a offer of 9.5 lpa from a big 4 company which I had accepted. Secured another offer of 11.5 lpa from another company. How should I go about negotiating my offer from 1st company as I want to join that but need my package to be at least 11 lpa. Any guidance would be appreciated.
