What to chose if company 1 is giving 9.5 lpa and timing 3- 11:30pm whereas another company 2 is giving 12 lpa + night allowance, timing 5 to 3 am which one do i chose . Company one is a big brand, stable, and well known in the market like big 4 level and location bglr , hyd , Mumbai option

Hi Guys i am really frustrated . I was in BIG 4 and all were good . Like my work life balance was super duper good .

But I made one mistake I switched to one mid size product based company . And my life is ruined .

New company is good but people who works here are toxic in nature . They are not ready to accept new guy . I have just completed one month . And i am in a situation like why i joined company . Should I switch so early .

Happy Friday! I hear that it is very slow now for most of big 4 deals strategy teams especially for due diligence work because of the low number of deals in the market. Is it the case for your firm as well? Are there any firms who are doing better than others and are still busy in this area? Thank you for your insights!

Currently manager in Big 4 (since April). Got an offer to move to Baringa Partners. 15% higher pay, same title and opportunity to build out a practice.

Don't know anyone who works there besides the people who interviewed me. Seems that culture is their big sell (taking Glassdoor reviews with a pinch of salt).

Thoughts on the place? Is it worth leaving the relative safety of the big 4 (my role is pretty secure) to join a new company was a recession is starting, for a 15% pay bump?

Anyone ever transition from PA to federal government? Seems like WLB is much better and pay isn’t as bad as state govt imo. Was going to apply for a position but I was wondering how likely I would be to even get an interview without some sort of referral or connection. Are any big 4 hiring in the infrastructure/major project advisory teams currently? Specifically interested in KPMG. I haven’t seen any postings in a while.

Director at a boutique considering a move to B4 SM after a couple recruiters reached out. I have 5 YOE in consulting and 12 total. Currently at about $210k TC and wouldn’t move for less than $260k. For the most part I like my colleagues and WLB is solid - rarely over 50 hours.

I feel like I would get better experiences and sharpen my skill set at a B4 though. I expect that the brand would make future job searches easier as well/open more doors.
